Lexan:Need something clear, strong, and almost unbreakable? This material is 250 times stronger than glass! Known by trade names such as Lexan, Tuffak, Makrolon, and Hyzod. High tensile strength. Excellent for Signs in high-crime areas and most commonly used in illuminated cabinets. Lexan polycarbonate is one of the most widely known "plastics". Lexan sheet with its unique combination of high impact strength, flame retardancy, and thermoformability makes it ideally suited for security applications. No other plastic can match Lexan's combination of light transmittance (clarity), and the ability to withstand extreme impact. We commonly use .150" thick (sign grade) Lexan, but can order as thin as .030" and as thick as .500". Lexan comes in White, Clear, Solar Bronze and Solar Grey.
Plexiglas:Whether clear, transparent or opaque, sign faces, channel
letters and thermoformed signs made of ACRYLITE acrylic sheet always get plenty
of attention. Transparent ACRYLITE GP and ACRYLITE FF sheets let light through
with a hint of the color you choose. Translucent ACRYLITE sheet provides deep,
rich colors and is particularly attractive when back-lit. |
